Where to buy CS-skins cheapest? - the full guide

Understanding all the fees and what it actually costs to use these CS marketplaces can be difficult to grasp. Therefore, we have written this blog article in collaboration with multiple parties to make it as comprehensive and transparent as possible. We will try to keep this article updated continuously, but the figures are correct at the time of writing, 2023/11/20.

TL:DR (summary)

For those who want to sell skins and withdraw the money directly, CSMiddler is a clear winner. If you sell a skin for $100, you are guaranteed to get literally $100 in your bank account.

If you want to buy skins and pay directly (via Trustly), CSMiddler is also the cheapest for you. The purchase fee is 1.5%, but there is no deposit fee/processing fee that other marketplaces/payment processors have.

The downside with CSMiddler is that it doesn’t support all countries in the world, only these.

If you only trade skins but never want to withdraw or deposit money, GamerPay is the best option for you. If you want to commit to a subscription (minimum 3 months), this is also a good option.

If you buy and sell a lot and reach high amounts, most marketplaces are fair, as they want big traders on their websites.

Which marketplaces will be compared?

All major CS2 P2P marketplaces that:

  1. do not offer illegal casino activities, or
  2. do not have any kind of unknown spread on coins, or
  3. are offered in Sweden (we cannot test those that do not work in Sweden since we are Swedes)

Which data points will be compared?

This article only compares fees, which is probably the most essential part when buyers and sellers decide which marketplace to buy or sell skins on. Many marketplaces have a quite complicated fee structure, so we will do our best to present all types of different fees that may occur, such as purchase, sale, deposit, withdrawal, and wallet fees.

In addition, there may be different fees for different payout methods, and we cannot possibly make a comparison for all hundreds of payment methods that exist for all different countries, therefore we have chosen payment method according to the following list:

  1. Visa/Mastercard - simplest from a customer perspective.
  2. A2A bank transfers (e.g., Trustly) - as smooth as Visa/Mastercard.
  3. Traditional bank transfers.
  4. Crypto - often simple but requires some knowledge of the technology and setup.
  5. Others.

Another super important fee to note is that some payment providers will charge a service fee or the like, e.g., Stripe. We obviously try to include that below too, as it is a cost for the users.

The comparison:

NOTE: If you want to buy skins with money, i.e., not by selling skins first, you are usually subject to both the deposit fee AND the purchase fee.
